The Easter Bunny hops along from one home to another carrying a big smile and a basket filled with candies and colorful eggs, much to the delight of kids (Learn how to dye easter eggs naturally). As a tribute to the jolly Easter character, you can create an Easter basket with an Easter Bunny design. Its big mouth and cute features will surely be a hit among every kid and kid-at-heart at the next Easter celebration.

The Easter Bunny is known as a perpetually smiling furry creature. You should incorporate those details when making your big mouth Easter Bunny basket. To cut down on your expenses, you can use a milk jug for the basket, cotton balls for the fur and felt paper and yarn for the facial features. Put them all together and you’ll make a fine Easter Egg carrier.

Materials Used:

  • gallon milk jug
  • white felt paper
  • red felt paper
  • pink felt paper
  • cotton balls
  • black yarn
  • glue gun
  • large toy eyes
  • cutter
  • scissors
  • black marker

Procedure:

  1. Use a cutter or sharp scissors to cut the gallon milk jug’s top and middle portions, save the handle.
  2. Draw the outline of the bunny’s face at the side opposite the handle.
  3. Once done, glue the toy eyes onto the bunny face, based on your outline.
  4. Cut a small triangle from a sheet of pink felt paper and glue it opposite the jug’s handle.
  5. Cut a long piece of black yarn. Stick it to where the bunny lips are supposed to be.
  6. Cut two squares from a sheet of white felt paper then stick them right below the bunny’s upper lip.
  7. Cut a heart out of red felt paper.
  8. Draw a thin division at the middle using your marker then cut its bottom portion.
  9. Stick it right above the bunny’s upper lip.
  10. Once done, cover the milk jug, except for the face, with cotton balls. Stick each piece using your glue gun.
  11. Cut out two bunny ears from your supply of white felt paper.
  12. Cut out a two similar yet smaller figures from your supply of pink felt paper.
  13. Glue the pink figures onto the bunny ears.
  14. Finally, glue the ears on the top portion of the basket.
