How To Make A Clay Bowl

Pottery is one of mankind’s oldest crafts. Even now, it is still being practiced both as a hobby and as a profession. You too can make your own clay bowl. Here’s how.
What you’ll need:
- Molding clay
How You’ll Do It:
Step 1
Get a glob of clay and fashion it into a ball. Stick your thumb in it and slowly push it around to create a hollow.

Step 2
Work from the bottom up and just keep pushing it out and smoothing it up.

Step 3
Keep shaping the clay until you have a bowl-shaped pot. In fact, from here, you can mold it into anything you want: a bird’s nest, a clay pottery, or even a pot; it will all depend on how you shape it.

Molding a clay bowl is particularly a good activity to develop a kid’s creativity as well as artistic skills. Introduce them to this craft and they may even become famous artists when they grow up.
