How To Set A Table
by howtomakestuff Posted on November 28th, 2008How You’ll Do It:
Step 1
Set the plate.
Step 2
Forks always go to the left of the plate. The salad fork goes first, and the dinner fork goes inside it, closer to the plate.

Step 3
Knives go to the right-hand side with the blade pointing in. The spoon goes right beside it. If you have a soup spoon, it always goes to the right of your knife.

Step 4
Dessert utensils sit right in front of the plate, parallel to each other. Fork over spoon.

Step 5
For the glasses, put them above the knife in the order that they are used. The water glass goes first, followed by the wine glass and the champagne glass. If they take up too much space just cluster them into a nice triangle.

Step 6
There you have it, you have a perfectly good table set!
