What you’ll need:

  • 1/2 yard of black marine vinyl
  • 1/2 yard of clear (16 gauge) vinyl
  • two full sized pictures of the iPhone (printed out and mounted to heavy black
    presentation board)
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun and glue sticks/li>
  • Spray77 adhesive
  • Sewing machine with heavy duty needle
  • Black thread
  • X-Acto knife
  • Cutting board
  • Vise
  • iPhone

How you’ll do it:

Step 1

Trim the iPhone base boards. cut out the black vinyl to about 1″ bigger than the base boards. Spray adhesive onto the parts and put the base boards onto the vinyl.

Step 2

Cut the corners off the vinyl at 45 degrees. Spray adhesive on the parts again, then fold over the edges and press firmly.

Step 3

Press paper over the first board and do the same with the second. Clamp the two together with a vice, if you have one.

Step 4

After sewing a tube of clear vinyl, cut it to length. Make it loose around the iPhone and a bit longer. Pick a place to cut the relief and crease the vinyl. Cut the relief out of the vinyl tube, turning the scissors as you cut and mirror it on the other side. Flip up the top flap and cut off the bottom flap.
