How To Make A Little Teddy Bear
Making a little teddy bear as icing or decoration for your cake or as a little figurine for display isn’t hard at all. You won’t believe what you can make with just paste and glue.
Materials Needed
- Several pieces of ball-shaped paste in various sizes
- Knife and a pen tip
- A spaghetti piece
- Liquid glue
- Brush to apply the glue
- Cocktail stick
- Black paste paint
Step by Step Procedure
Step 1
Start with the body. Take a big piece of paste and then roll it into a teardrop shape. Flatten it slightly at the top. Push the piece of spaghetti into it, to support the head.
Step 2
Glue the area where the little legs will go.
Step 3
To make the legs, take a small ball of paste and roll it into a point. Mold the thicker part by pinching it at the sides and then pushing the top, with another pinch on the side at the heel. You should now have a foot-shaped paste. Make another in much the same fashion. Put them in position in your body mold.
Step 4
Add another glue to the top part of the body where the arms will go.
Step 5
Make the arms by taking another paste, rolling it to a point and then flattening the thick end slightly. Do the same for the other arm. Then, glue them on the sides.
Step 6
Add another dash of glue on the top of the body where the head will be.
Step 7
For the head, take another big ball of paste and roll it into a teardrop shape. Flatten the thick part for a bit; this is where the eyes are going to be. Then, push the other end upward to make the snout. Use the pen tip to add two tiny half-circles. Use the knife to make a line in-between the two half-circles, up where the nose will be. <2:38> Pop the head in position.
Step 8
Use the other end of the brush to push slightly into each side of the head, where the ears will be. Glue the inside of the holes slightly. Take a tiny ball of paste and then roll them in your hands in a tiny teardrop shape and then pop them into position. Do the same for the other ear. Then, flatten them so they’ll look like little bear ears.
Step 9
To do the eyes, use the cocktail stick, dip it into the black paste paint, and just pop two eyes into the face area.
Step 10
For the nose, mold a tiny black paste into a ball and then pop it into the nose area, using a glue to help hold it in place.
Voila! You now have your own little teddy bear that you can put as a decoration to anything you want. It will surely liven up any cake or shelf with its utter cuteness.
