Materials Used:

• starch – 2 cups
• water – 2 glasses
• glue – ½ cup
• food coloring – 20 drops
• mixing bowl

Check Before You Goo

Your very first step is to check the availability of materials. Check your cupboard if you have a good supply of starch and food coloring for this do-it-yourself project. Once the starch and the food coloring are set, get the water, chopping board, mixing bowl and the spoon from your kitchen. Look at the cabinet drawers of your house and you will find a few zip lock bags.

Flubberize

When you have all the materials ready, you can begin your silly science experiment. Pour one-half cup of glue, one cup of starch, twenty drops of food coloring and a glass of water in a mixing bowl. Mix the ingredients together with your spoon until it becomes a bit dense and sticky. If the solution becomes too sticky, just add some water. Add starch if the solution gets too watery.

When the solution settles and turns into goo, transfer it to a chopping board. Mold the goo as if you are a baker kneading bread. This step will make the goo a lot stickier and more compact.
