How To Make A Ghost Costume
Posted on March 26th, 2008Have you seen scary movies like “The Shining” and “The Grudge”? A lot of people say that these movies are simply too scary to be seen alone. Both movies have imprinted themselves in the memory banks of their viewers especially during nighttime.
If your friends think those ghastly scenes only happen in the movies, they are badly mistaken. You can recreate those terrifying scenes by appearing as a ghost this coming Halloween. Go and create your own ghost costume.
A ghost costume is very easy to make and the materials are quite cheap. The items needed are readily found in almost every household, which means there is a good chance that you may not need to spend anything to make a ghost costume. You’re actually making a good Halloween costume for a price lower than those of cheap thrills.
Materials Used:
- white bed sheet
- criss-cut scissors
- marker
- regular scissors
- pencil
- paper
To create your ghost costume, you can first sketch the outline and the dimensions of your costume on a piece of paper to act as your guide. Get a white bed sheet and cut its bottom using your criss-cut scissors. When the bottom part of your bed sheet is jagged, outline the eyes of your ghost using your marker. Cut out the eye outlines so that you will be able to see through your costume.
Give form to your ghost costume by cutting the bed sheet to look like a white body suit. Create three-foot extensions underneath the arms of your costume to provide a scarier effect. If you are quite unsure about its white color, you can bring it to the laundry and apply bleach. You can also immerse it in white clothing dye if bleaching does not work.
At this point, you have a nice ghost costume ready to terrify friends and create urban legends.
