Materials Needed

STYROFOAM™ Brand Foam:
Ball, 3″

Other Materials:
Metal bottle caps: recycled and/or purchased, vintage-look bottle caps
Glitter: silver; red; green
Silver cord, 8″ length
Silver wire-edged ribbon, 1/4″ x 1/3 yd.
Ruler
Wooden skewer
Small round paintbrush
Scissors
Low-temp glue gun and glue sticks
Thick, white craft glue

Instructions
1. Use glue gun to glue bottle caps onto foam ball as shown. Recycled caps may be glued on rim up or rim down; if rim down, firmly press rim into foam surface to ensure good bond.
2. Insert skewer into bottom of foam ball. Holding skewer, use paintbrush to spread thin layer of white glue onto foam ball around bottle caps. While glue is still wet, sprinkle ball with silver glitter; gently press glitter into glue. Shake off excess. Place skewer in heavy glass or jar until glue is dry.

3. Spread thin layer of white glue onto or inside bottle caps that will be red; sprinkle glue with red glitter. Gently press glitter into glue and shake off excess; let dry. Repeat for green caps.
4. Knot cord ends. Place dot of glue on knot and use skewer to push knot into top of ornament. Tie ribbon bow; glue to base of hanging loop.
