How To Make Scented Holiday Cards

Materials Needed:
Two sheets of colorful multi-purpose paper
Two cups water
Scented oil (cranberry, holly or your child’s favorite scent)
Blender (with adult supervision)
Bowl
Old screen (clean)
Markers

Step 1
Rip paper into very small pieces.

Step 2
Place paper pieces, water and a few drops of scented oil in blender.

Step 3
Blend into a pulp-like consistency.

Step 4
Pour mixture from blender into bowl.

Step 5
Allow child to help spread this mixture evenly on screen and flatten with hand. Let dry.

Step 6
Once completely dry, gently remove paper from screen.

Step 7
Fold paper in half and decorate this scented card with markers.

Step 8
Give this sentimental card to someone you love.
Holiday Ornament

Materials Needed:
Three pipe cleaners
Small Styrofoam balls
White glue
Glitter
White yarn

Step 1
Cut each pipe cleaner into 6-inch pieces.

Step 2
Push Styrofoam balls on pipe cleaners two inches apart.

Step 3
Secure pipe cleaners into star-like form.

Step 4
Loop yarn around center of snowflake to secure pipe cleaners in place.

Step 5
Drizzle glue on Styrofoam balls and sprinkle with glitter. Let dry.

Step 6
Loop yarn around center of ornament and tie a knot at the end.

Step 7
Hang this sparkling ornament on your holiday tree.

Homemade Wrapping Paper Party Favor

Materials Needed:
Drawing paper (roll) or solid color wrapping paper
Tempura paint
Plastic bowls
Holiday stamps
Sponges
Glitter glue
Markers

Step 1
Place drawing/wrapping paper on the table.

Step 2
Pour tempera paint into plastic bowls.

Step 3
Dip stamps and sponges into paint, and press onto paper.

Step 4
Outline shapes with glitter glue, and add personalized greetings with markers.

Step 5
Allow this decorative paper to dry thoroughly before using it to wrap gifts.

Step 6
Use scrap pieces of wrapping paper to make matching gift tags.
